EDM over all other genres.

So, every week I get at least 2 forwards from 20 friends of mine inviting me for the EDM party at the nearest club. Having tittles such as “After a long time XYZ.Ent.Pvt.Ltd is back with a bang”, blah blah blah! Oh wait a second! You had just organized a party 2 weeks ago, right? *Sigh*
People spend around Rs.800-900 almost every two weeks to go and dance on the same music which you can listen to on YouTube. Same DJ, almost every time with same sets, for me its kinda boring. These parties would be super fun if these clubs gave chance to the new DJs in town. DJs who produce their own music. I have seen couple of guys who just visit these clubs so that they can stalk girls wearing crop tops, one piece and skirts. Okay, so now this is kinda bad. One more thing about these parties which is really stupid is “Free entry for girls”. I mean, why? Good marketing technique, but same thing every time?
We all know why there is a “Free entries for girls”. So, that’s a matter of fact.
I never found logic behind going to such parties every week and spending INR 1000, these are the same people who cry for entry fees of Rs 100 when there is some really great gig going on around. I had been to a gig where new bands participated to play their original music but sadly very few people showed up for the gig because there was some EDM party going on the other side of the town, which in return made the show crappy, disappointed the sponsors and really discouraged the organizers.

People these have become dumb, that’s what I feel (No offense). They don’t want to stress their brain to understand the lyrics so they choose to only listen to Electronic Music which has no lyrics or less lyrics.
People should encourage music like Rock, Metal, Hip Hop, Blues where 3-4 people come together, put their heart and soul in their creation and make something really ear pleasing. These guys learn a particular instrument for like years spending money and most importantly their time. We don’t attend such gigs and then we say “Damnn! We got no good bands in India yaar!”.

Dont get me wrong. I am not saying do not attend these DJ parties. All I want to say is give your ears some new flava to taste and let them enjoy something else. More over, the satisfaction on the face of the artists playing on stage will be priceless. I don’t mean to discourage the DJs. They are doing a great job with the consoles, making 100 people dance at the same time which isn't an easy job. Ent.Pvt.Ltd keep the hustle going, give chance to new guys who really deserve recognition and appreciation.

PS: This doesnt mean I hate EDM. Even I listen to it and enjoy it, sometimes.

Music is vast explore it. :)

This is my take on it!
